Who are Yank & Limey?

Yank - Aliza Sherman.
Aliza is a Web pioneer, social media strategist, published author, blogger, podcaster, and regular contributor to national magazines and web sites. She first w
ent online in the early 80s. In the early 90s, she helped pioneer the Web for women and girls and started the 1st woman-owned Internet company (Cybergrrl, Inc.) developing the first three websites for women (Cybergrrl.com, Webgrrls.com, Femina.com) and founded the 1st global women's Internet organization (Webgrrls International) to help women succeed in an increasingly technical workplace and world. She was part of Silicon Alley, centered in Manhattan, influencing today's New Media industry. For over 20 years she's been a professional keynote and motivational speaker and she is invited to speak around the world about the intersections of technology, work and life as well as women's business and tech issues. She's regularly hired to consult companies and nonprofit organizations on their integrated digital marketing strategies to best leverage online technology for business, communications, marketing and customer relations. Her 10 books include "Social Media Engagement for Dummies," "Mom, Incorporated," "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Crowdsourcing," "Streetwise Ecommerce," "The Everything Blogging Book," and "PowerTools for Women in Business."  Over the years she has freelanced for business and lifestyle publications such as Entrepreneur, Home Business and Costco magazines and contributes to websites including Mashable and GigaOm.

has over 20 years experience in online marketing and online product development. He specialises in social media and brand journalism, developing creative strategy to achieve the overall marketing aims of clients as different as AT&T, PRNewswire, Speedo, Carphone Warehouse, Vision Express, fragrance brands, dating brands, alcohol brands, retail brands, pure ecommerce channels, celebrities and national attractions. His personal contracts have included brands and companies as diverse as Ripley's Believe It or Not!, British legend Brian Blessed and the British Skeleton team (in the run up to Sochi'14). 
He's worked for a variety of companies, from national newspapers to specialist online agencies, finding new ways to approach projects as diverse as green living, fashion, leisure, children's education, property, auto sales, traditional e-commerce sites, telecoms, logistics and even obituaries. He's currently working in a senior role as Digital Strategist with www.tankpr.co.uk. A futurist and committed transhumanist, he regularly lectures at university and corporate level and he's passionate about best practices in online communication, about the future of the web, virtual worlds, about information architecture and the future of media, content and digital PR. He is a strategist and trainer in digital marketing for the UK Gov. Business Growth Service (formally GrowthAccelerator).
